Homebound Service

The library delivers regular books, large print books, audiobooks, DVDs and other physical materials free of charge to qualifying King Township residents.

How do I qualify?

The Homebound Program is for library patrons who are temporarily or permanently confined to their homes and unable to come to the library on their own because of mobility problems, disability, or injury or illness lasting more than one month.

How does it work?

You will be asked to fill out a form which will determine your reading preferences. Library staff will then select material based upon your reading interests or requests and then a volunteer will deliver your items every six weeks.

Where will the library deliver to?

Library volunteers will deliver materials to private homes, senior’s apartments, nursing homes, retirement homes and long-term care facilities in King Township.

The Homebound Access Card

Don’t want books delivered to your door?  Nominate someone else to take out library materials on your behalf if you qualify as a homebound person.

How do I apply?

Download an application form for the Homebound Program or call one of the branches to inquire if you qualify for this service.
