Summer Reading Club

Program Listing

Our TD Summer Reading Club is now started!

The TD Summer Reading Club is Canada's biggest, bilingual summer reading program for kids of all ages, all interests and all abilities. This free program is co-created and delivered by more than 2,000 public libraries across Canada. It celebrates Canadian authors, illustrators, and stories. It's designed to inspire kids to explore the fun of reading their way - the key to building a lifelong love of reading.

We have reading challenges for all ages this summer to help your children avoid the "summer slip" and maintain their reading level!

Register for our popular summer reading program offered with the Beanstack app. You will be able to track your progress online or through the app and it will automatically enter you into our prize draw for each book you read! Each reading badge earned is another entry into our bi-weekly prize draw and our end-of-summer Grand Prize draw.

Summer Programs

We will offer programs for children of all ages this summer. You can see a full listing of programs on our library calendar. Please note that many of our programs are free but do require registration due to limited space. Registration can be completed by calling or visiting your local branch or even emailing info@kinglibrary.ca

Take a look at your nearest branch this summer to see if our TD SRC Storywalk is there! It will be at each of our branch locations for 4 weeks! You can read "Treasure" by Mireille Messier and Irene Luxbacher while taking a stroll around the library!

Throughout the summer we will also offer activities to do in the branch with your own schedule. These may include an I Spy, Guess the Character, crafts and you can even play board games!  Check out our Summer Program Guide for more information!

Don't forget to check out what our Make-It Lab is able to offer this summer.
