Help your children avoid the “summer slip” and maintain their reading level by registering them for our popular summer reading program offered with the Beanstack app.
We are planning to offer a wide variety of outdoor and online programming, as provincial guidelines allow. Some activities will include STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), robotics, live online games, storytimes and more.
The Summer Reading Club is open to all ages!
The TD Summer Reading Club is Canada's biggest, bilingual summer reading program for kids of all ages, all interests and all abilities. This free program is co-created and delivered by more than 2,000 public libraries across Canada. It celebrates Canadian authors, illustrators, and stories. It's designed to inspire kids to explore the fun of reading their way - the key to building a lifelong love of reading.
How Do I Register for the TD Summer Reading Club?
How It Works
The club is designed for kids aged 0 to 18 years old. Kids can participate online anytime, anywhere - wherever summer takes you. Read stories and explore activities to spark your curiosity, and enjoy special online programs. With the online Summer Reading Club the more you read the more badges you'll earn! If you want to pick up your free Summer Reading Club materials, call your local branch for more details.
It's easy to join in and have fun this summer:
- Visit the App Store or Google Play to download the free Beanstack app
- Read books, complete activities and write reviews to earn badges
- Take the challenge and level up!
Our prize draws run every 2 weeks on Beanstack, the more you read the more badges you earn and the more entries you have into each draw. So be sure to track your minutes and your activities to get the most entries! But don't worry all you have to do is register for the TD Summer Reading Club Challenge through the Beanstack app.
The more you read, and the more activities you complete, the more chances you have to win!
For the summer of 2021, we will be offering summer programming from June 14 through to August 14 with new programs each week! See a full listing of our programs on our community calendar, including live virtual programs and in-person outdoor programs.
