Costume Exchange

Save resources, packaging, transportation costs and money this year by swapping a costume instead of buying a new one! You can drop off your old costumes Tuesday, October 10th through Thursday, October 12th at the library during open hours in exchange for a token that will let you get something new to you on our swap day!

Cardboard Costume Crafting

Need Halloween costume ideas? Come and build your own, use our cardboard (or bring your own) and use our cardboard crafting tools to cut and fold your own turtle shell, robot mask, knightly armour or more! Our friendly Maker Specialist can help with advice and design tips as you make your own costume pieces from cardboard.

Crafting with Cricut

Learn how to use the Cricut machine to create name tags, Christmas cards, paper flowers, custom decals and more! We will show you how to use the Cricut design software to create a variety of home crafts and decorations for yourself and your loved ones. No experience is necessary.

This is a free program for ages 10 and up, please pre-register at the branch or by calling as space is limited.

Last Minute Costumes

It's Halloween! Oh no, do you still need a costume? Come and make one! We have all kinds of ideas, tips and materials to make a quick, easy last-minute costume for Halloween. If you can, bring an old T-shirt for some of our ideas - black or white works best.

This is a free program for all ages, but ages 12 and under should come with an adult to assist in the costume-making.
